church sale//drinks at k's//hope store//patg's cat fixed//talked to rn 1 1/2 acre house half price
well, going lyric hunting as ds erased that journal. grrrr. would like to also do a rip's but keep wondering if i should bother. had a harrowing day. got to go to the church sale which was nice. i haven't been there in a while and i know it annoys people when you suddenly don't show up. really need to work on that or help them out with their book section again.
an's son was there and that is awkward, because she wants me to go out with him, even though she knows i'm still married to s, and still involved with j! she even asked my neighbor about the situation. i think she doesn't like the girls her son picks. he rides a harley, that kind of person, which i'm not, though bikes are common in north florida i hate the noise and the smell. an is super nice and you wouldn't expect her to have a son like that. when it came up last time, adi says he's waaaay too rough. i actually agree with her. then the foreign one teresa pointed out that an's husband was a trucker and they travelled the country together along with the son, when he was a kid growing up, so its not surprising it ended up like this. you wouldn't guess it if you met her though, she's very courteous and runs the shop like a trooper. she remembers everyone's names, i'm so bad at that.
found some junieb books. yay! and a couple of others, one is on "rural florida" memories of someone who grew up here and is now watching the "rural" of florida vanish, he's born in the 40's, i have only seen photos of florida from the 1940's. beautiful. cool that he wrote a book - when he was young he wrote for newspapers. didn't start it yet though.
talked to rn to let her know the other property is now half price 1 1/2 acres with a house for 85,000 in the middle of town. wow. there is also a 1/2 acre with a larger house near one of the churches west of here for under 50,000. she should go for the one acre and one half though, its right near her house and she would owe less than she does on the house where she is, which is smaller land. she'd still own both and could rent out the one she is already in, if she doesn't mind the aggravation of being a landlord. she could also use the present house for babysitting (because she already does that there anyway), while living at the house with the bigger property two blocks away and doing rescue there.
went to the hope store and they raised their prices a LOT. everyone is making remarks about it. even things like discounted bread, you only get the discount on orders over a certain amount (hope they go back to the original way). soups are 1.25 which is about what they are in walmart. they had discounted cat food today half price, its bump and dent, but one set of it was gross-dirty and smelled sticky and all that, but WHY put it out there like that. i offered to wash it myself if they didn't have anyone.
the supervisor of hope was there and she lost more weight on the suzanne somers diet. she is down to a size 8, but she said the jeans are daisy fuentes and she thinks they run big. (she was a size 18 when she started!) she is another one raising a baby when her kids are grown - her kids are 33 and 27. she says its complicated and not her grandchild, but they adopted her just recently. the child has been with her since 8 weeks of age and she is six now. she says she's a blessing and she just handles it. amazing. people are amazing.
had dessert, coffee and drinks at k's. he is still blaming the brand of bourban for messing with his blood, so now he is buying different kinds of scotch to see if it solves it? this month its dewars. he actually prefers chevis. think it will be easier to just to back to chevis. i don't remember what brand he bought when all of this blood and heart trouble started. gave his animals ivermectin and rn wants to put her neighbor's cat on ivermectin as well for the same thing hair loss and sores. that can also be food or flea allergy. he says he read something on line that claims if you only drink water or coffee that ALONE will make you lose weight.
we are having heavy winds 40 mph and had to put all the deck furniture on its side. i'm still dizzy, but not as bad. noticed if i don't get proper sleep its having a huge effect on making me dizzy, so i guess my body wants more sleep. dropped off patg's kitty that got fixed, i did the transport for her. she is out of work again and her doctor sent her meds to the wrong pharmacy and she can't get them. wth? her brother and her ex help her, she is lucky she has them, but she was pretty freaked out that she couldn't get her medication. she has had anxiety troubles since her son died (he was killed in a scuba diving accident 18 years ago in the keys, he was hit by a boat and the boat chopped his head off. both she and her husband freaked out after the accident and ended up divorcing, even though they still talk to each other every day).
