Church
Okay went to church tonight again. The men and women have separate groups. The guys do a Bible Study. The women do a DVD that has been the same person for over 2 years. I don't like it. Tired of it, but anyway go cause usually my hubby won't go if I don't. He really likes his class.
Anyway, every Wednesday nite either the leader and always the DVD speaker will bring death of someone, I really get so disgusted with it. I am dealing with it enough on my own. So finally, the leader starts talking about an elderly man who had died recently but I already knew the story as I had talked to the family a couple weeks ago. But she decided to talk 15 mins. about his death. Which is fine, he had a long life.
Finally, they turn on the DVD, what does she said. " There is a dear wonderful Christian woman in our church that died of a horrible cancer. I just decided this was not for me. One of the ladies turned to me and said I dont' blame you as I walked out. I think the speaker on the DVD uses what she thinks is a sad story to get attentions. She talks how bad it is for her loss. Worst loss ever. At first I though she had lost a child to death, no she had taken care of a child that went back to live with his mother. She was not to be his mother and it was family, so she still sees him.
So anyway, I just went to the church office and looked at papers, went out side and took pic of the sunset with my phone. Finally it was over and I told my husband, i just can't keep doing this every Wednesday nite, go listen to someone talk about death, cancer , etc just losing my son to that horrible disease.
So my husband and I have agreed, since he likes the class, he will go and I will go to my grandson ballgame. That way I am not continues having to be so sad during the day and go hear about death, when we should be going to get a blessing.
So that is how my day ended.
I am thankful that my husband decided to keep going and give me a break..from it all.
Thanks for listening to me vent.
