Christmas is coming
It has been a bit crazy around here lately. Our bathrooms are finally getting renovated. We now have a toilet in the living room! Hopefully it will be gone tomorrow. We had 2 delivered but one was broken. The one in our living room will be going back and 2 different ones should be delivered next week. The work should be more or less done by Christmas - well we should have toilets and tub. The cabinets will not be completed until the new year.
On the upside - Andrew and Tiina come on Saturday and we will be having our Christmas dinner early. Two of my friends will also be coming for dinner. It is reminiscent of Christmases past. We rarely had Christmas dinner without extra people. I spent most of this morning planning the menu!
Cevyn will be here for a day, the 24th - she will be with her dad and stepmom and her family for Christmas day. That is fine with me. At least we will have her for a bit.
Tonight we went out for dinner with our neigbours. We went to a Persian restaurant - we know the owner quite well so we were treated very well! He had to leave early but brought the ladies a Christmas gift - a large martini glass with chocolates and a miniature plant in it! I am so blessed to have such good friends. We live in the centre of a fairly large city but it feels like a neighbourhood.
There are times I think that Lisa has had a hand in ensuring that I have such good friends. I just find it so hard to know that we will be celebrating Christmas without Lisa for the 6th time. I miss the last minute shopping, wrapping and stocking stuffing.
Lisa: Nothing will fill the void you left but I am thankful for your Dad, Cevyn, Andrew, Tiina, and friends who keep me going. Life is as good as it can be. I miss you always and love you forever, Mum

I am so glad to hear of the great friends that you will be enjoying a Christmas meal with! And that you will also have some time with Cevyn!

Your reno is much faster than my sisters. They started in early spring and are still at it. How can something 5 x 7 feet take so long. Did i mention she changed her mind on the mirrors 7 times...Anyways i find it amuseing. Glad to have our walk and coffee Wednesday. Helped make another sad day more joyful. Thanks.

Understanding about bathroom renovations as that was the first thing we did here. Had to run downstairs for months to use the toilet and in the middle of the night that can be treacherous. LOL! I was never so happy to have them complete so I know you will be too. Seeing a toilet not where it\'s supposed to be is quite a sight! :)
You make life as good as it is because you welcome it and are a magnet for it. I too enjoy so very much hearing what you are up to and to have lovely and caring friends is a healing balm.
Soon too you\'ll be planning your holiday to India and how exciting that will be.

I was laughing at the toilet in the living room, Mike smiled as I read that part to him. He said at lest you don\'t have to use the outhouse until the new one

Your story reminded me of friends, who built a huge log cabin, years ago. It was very rustic and the master bedroom had no walls around the tub & toilet. It was planned that way. Can you immagine??? That is a littlle too much togetherness, for my taste, lol.
