Christmas 2012
Hello to all.
First of all, today December 25th, 2012 is my first day on this website. I'm really excited to be in this support group, as I have struggled for a year and a half with my health, and am quite positive that I have been hypoglycemic all of this time. It's actually good to know that I am not a crazy lunatic, like my past gastroenterologist thought. I actually had my whole senior year of HS ruined because of being ill, and I was just glad to have graduated and made decent grades. Since I've entered college, my health has been better overall, but I still have really struggled at points, and I'm still on the learning curve about hypoglycemia. I've had to learn so much about different diseases and such, that sometimes it can be a little discouraging researching.
Considering it is December 25th, I had an excellent Christmas, and it has been nice being home with family, despite the fact that it has been very weird at the same time. I did have a pretty dang good attack today, to which I deserved it big time, but it was kind of a nice wake up call to get my head back in the game. It is so hard because there is so much that is eliminated from you, and I've already been on 10,000 other diets, so I can say I'm pretty screwed up. I'm determined to feel better though, and I honestly want to exercise, which since having this, especially lately, I just don't want to exercise, because it makes me sick. I'm just praying that I can just keep being strong, so I can hopefully heal and actually be normal physically. I also want to lose the weight that I have gained since becoming hypoglycemic, because I first went on the "sugar diet" before I actually knew it was probably hypoglycemia, instead I thought it was starving yeast.
So if I could ask you guys, if you are the praying sort, to please pray for me battling with this, to be strong and just to keep fighting. I'm also hoping that I can get tested soon, I'm cringing to get tested, and I honestly don't want another negative result. It just breaks my heart every time I see a negative from a test. I also have a lot of social club stuff when I get back to college, plus I am starting majors courses this coming semester. I can say I am super pumped, but I am also very scared, going through Pledge Week and such.
Even though I don't know y'all guys, I'm sure y'all are all fantastic, and I love each and every one of y'all. If y'all ever need anything, I am here!
With all of the love,
Kristen
