Christmas??

I managed to get through Thanksgiving and I'm still here, now I have to face Christmas.  The anniversary of my mom's passing (I can't even say the word) was this week and it was the worst yet.  I feel totally abandoned, no one calls or writes to me anymore.  I just feel either pain or numb, Christmas means nothing to me now.  I can't imagine living my life without her.  I will have to go back on the prozac.  Im a good person and people (not DS members) ignore me or treat me bad, I just don't understand it.  I guess it's a sign of the times that we are living in, so many people unemployed now.  Bush really screwed up this country and now says he's sorry that things are so bad.  I mailed my cousin a Christmas card but don't know why since she hasn't answered my emails and I haven't heard from her since I told her my mom died.  I haven't heard from my nephew since Thanksgiving, I think I am depressing him.

I think people do avoid you when you suffer a loss. They don\'t know what to say, or they don\'t have the strength to safeguard their own emotions. I\'m so sorry; you sound so very lonely.
Prozac wouldn\'t mean a failure. I\'ve just had mine increased again, and it\'s holding me steady until I can walk on my own two feet again.
Well done for getting through Thanksgiving. This is a tough time of year. You don\'t deserve to be treated badly on top of your grief. If you have no objections my slightly confused prayers are with you.

I am on medication and right now couldn\'t live without it. I have \"friends\" that keep in touch but don\'t want to hear about missing my mom. They did this years ago after my dad died. My sister is moving this summer and I have no relationship with my brother,so no more family in the area. We will all get stronger and stand tall again but it takes time, and we all, including me, want to feel better today!!! Love and prayers to you, Nancy
