ChristianChurch 24/7 group

I write messages every week, here on DS in the above group.  I wrote a special message today about Mothers, in honor of mothers and I shared some of the things about my mom.  I realize not all have good moms as I did.  I understand those who have been abused by moms and I understand there are those who want to be moms and can't.
If any of you would want to read this message or any others that I post, they are in this group here on DS every week and have been for almost 2 years.  Feel free to read them.
I am not a "professional Preacher" and coming from  a past like mine, I am maybe on the rough edge of some preachers but, I care for people and for going on 4 years now, I have been here on DS, reaching out to the hurting, the depressed, those with broken marriages and relationships, and those who feel no-one cares about them.  Some have bashed me, some have mocked me and some have told me that "preachers aren't welcome here on DS."   Well, I guess you have your opinion about that but, I am here still trying to help others and being the friend that I never had, when I was going through some of the darkest times in my life.
I guess I feel that unless you have been where I have been, experienced what I have been through, being shot, stabbed, beat up, rejected, had bones broken, had your life threatened 3 times, been shot at, been an alcoholic, a drug user, a Biker, have found friends who have committed suicide, have stood beside your son's casket, etc. etc. maybe you shouldn't judge me so quickly as some "bible thumper or religious fanatic", maybe you should not mock me till you have walked in my shoes for a while and stood with me beside the death beds of friends and see them take their last breath here on earth. Maybe you should stand beside the caskets with me and hear the words I say to the grieving family members, to try and comfort them.  Maybe you need to stand by me in the emergency rooms when I pray for those who are dying.  Maybe you need to stand beside me at the graveside as I speak words of comfort to those who are believers and non-believers.  Am I perfect, absolutely not but, I do what I do because I care for people and I know in my heart, that this is what the Lord wants me doing.  I do not cram religion down anyone's neck but, look at it this way.  I see so much sadness, so much depression, so much hurt and sadness in this life.  I used to be full of hurt, rage, retaliation, revenge and, I trusted no-one and suspected everyone.  I found the doorway to true joy, happiness and peace in this world of turmoil and trouble.  I share this with others and they can either accept it or reject it.  I judge no-one.  I care enough to be honest and to share what made a difference in my life.  This is what I have done now for the past 35 years.  This is who I am.

and i love who you are! :) it is lives experiences that shape and mold all of us into His tools to be used by Him for His work. the outcomes are always His too. we are just His hammers, saws, screw drivers etc. in His tool box. the tools He treasures the most are the ones He uses the most, just like a craftsman who reaches for his favorite old beat up tools before he goes after the new ones. the old ones who he has more experience with are the most reliable ones. God is the same way! from one old beat up tool to another, i am glad we are on the same team doing the same kind of work. love you friend!

i too like you as you are, you are doing such a brilliant job, and your care comes from the pain you have been through, and what you have coped with in life, which in my book, makes it ok, for you to stand with others, and share with them, you are not just someone who comes in and bible bashes as you said, i am sorry you are misunderstood, by those who just see the serface, i know a lot of people who do the same, if i mention i am a christian,i think it is as you know over time, some have become bible bashers, and people as you know don\'t want that, they need a listinning ear, a shoulder, and most of all, to be just like you are real, so keep up the good work, and i read your messages,i can\'t always comment, but they are read, so thank you for putting hope out there, for people, and for being you.love and hugs.

hmmmm, maybe \"preacher\" is not a good word around here but pastoring is what you do. Preaching is for Sunday morning service. Besides...Jesus wasn\'t a preacher....he was a teacher. I would rather line myself up as a teacher who has been taught in the school of life. Some things you can\'t possibly know until you have been there. It helps to be able to have someone who can relate to your pain instead of guess at your pain. I hope you continue to bless others with your empathy to their plight. We are all here at DS because life is not always kind...the world is mean....people are hurting....and we should lift each other up, as God would like for us to do. Hang in there...even \"preachers\" need encouragement. In Christ...dale, brandon\'s mo m

I love the journal Pee Wee, and I know that you are doing what the Lord has called you to do and I do believe that you reach alot of people BECAUSE of the life experiences you have had and because you don\'t judge. I know that it\'s a thankless job alot of times, and I know how much it hurts you to see all of the pain that you do , but you are a Blessing to so many people. I love you just the way you are, I wouldn\'t want you to be any other way. I am so blessed to have you in my life. You are an inspiration to me.
