Childhood Friend

I've lost a childhood friend.  Hugh is part of so many childhood memories.  He's a part of playing football with 4 guys,,,playing flies and skinners in the street,,,,crawdaddin',,,building Christmas Tree forts and in the summers, forts made from refrigerator boxes,,,of spending the night in the box fort,,,buying and playing with steel replica pistols,,,buying and using old military equipment at the Army-Navy surplus store,,,swimming just about everywhere, the river, lake, country club pool, and trips to the big pool 15 miles north of town,,,any so many more.  Hugh was the oldest and the leader and defender.  I caught up with him later during my nightclub days and we were still good friends.  Hugh is no longer here, but he will stay with me in my heart.

The heart has lots of room for all our memories. Keep smiling, my friend. People will wonder what you\'re up to, lol. Hugs and kisses, Deb :o)

I am so sorry that you lost your friend. I have more people I love that have died than are alive now. I comfort myself by saying that I had rather have known them for a short time, than never known them at all. Love and hugs to you, my precious friend!
