child support
I havent got child support in 5 months, I thought for sure tht they ( family court) would have filed a warrant for his arrest by now. So now in order to get child support so I can get my kids winter coats!! I have to go to court, I really dont think I should have to go thru this!! I know he told me tht he wouldnt be there for us if I left but really he wanted to have two kids! He should help support them. I think tht this system is wrong. How do they decide tht a warrant should be granted especially when so much time as pasted.. I have met single fathers and they all can not go a week without seeing their kids. my anger has gone away alot bc I dont have to deal with all his bull anymore or his gfs, and honestly tht was a big reason I stayed for so long I thought I had more control over what happened around my kids and I figured if we were not together then they would be around everything I didnt believe it.....

I kind of stumbled on your journal...I have been and still am where you are at...they will only issue the bench warrant after you file a motion with the court. And it has to be over $5000. I know the system is very flawed and not very friendly to a custodial parent. I\'m lucky I\'m getting a fraction of the court ordered support right now, but come Novemeber, he will be laid off and I will barely get grocery money for the month.

I just talked to my caseworker and she told me tht she is going to schedule the cause show hearin for oct 30th and the most I can ask for is 1500 so who knows i could have winter coats and christmas money soon!! or he will go to jail, woo hoo!!
