Child Care Wantirna

I believe it is very important to work closely as a team, committed to providing quality education and care to children by building respectful and trusting relationships with children and families. Families receive regular updates about their child’s learning and development, including observations, learning stories, developmental discussions and opportunities to connect with educators and teachers throughout the year. Our curriculum is further enriched through two signature programs boronia childcare centre that are embedded into children’s everyday learning.
Advance Early Learning Centres offers Government Approved funded Kindergarten Programs for eligible three and four-year-old children, delivered by qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our team can assist families in understanding eligibility, funded hours, and how this works with CCS, ensuring parents have a clear picture of costs, entitlements, and scheduling options. Eligible families can access the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to reduce their out-of-pocket fees. Families also receive additional support through the Victorian Government’s Free Kinder subsidy, which provides up to $2,101 per child per year (pro-rata). From clay and painting to mixed media exploration, children engage in rich, sensory creative experiences that strengthen fine and gross motor skills while encouraging experimentation and self-expression.

Our Maternal and Child Health service is a free and confidential service providing child health and developmental checks, information, advice and support to families with young children from birth to 6 years. Our Children and Family Centres in Bayswater and Wantirna South bring together long day care, kindergarten, maternal and child health services and playgroups in one location. We believe that the positive interactions children have with our staff are the most important component of our high-quality program. Our highly experienced and dedicated teachers and educators build strong, trusting relationships with each child, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence. Our centre provides children with a warm, friendly, safe, secure and inviting environment which encourages families input in all aspects of the daily program. Across the service we participate in incursions and excursions engaging with our local communities including dental visits, weekly library sessions, emergency services visiting the centre and anything else that may arise within our programs.
G8 Education does not control or endorse the content of individual reviews. We encourage families to contact the centre directly for the most up-to-date information. If you have an infant, we spend one-on-one time with them to establish a connection. We use songs, games, and conversations to strengthen relationships and build language skills.
Families will be given as many opportunities as possible to participate in their child’s learning journey – including volunteering, regular social nights, family art sessions, annual art exhibition, termly learning discussions, information sessions. Together, these programs ensure children have a well-rounded, engaging learning experience, developing creativity, confidence, and practical skills that extend beyond the classroom and support a smooth transition to school. Our Playground to Plate ® is a food garden program that aims to revolutionise the relationship that children have with food from infancy through to school age.

We offer a rotating seasonal menu, providing breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack freshly made daily. We are committed to sustainability through hands-on initiatives like having recycling bins in every room. We also encourage families to contribute by bringing in jars, lids, cardboard, magazines, and scrap paper, which we repurpose for creative projects and learning activities. Together, we teach children the importance of caring for our environment.
When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn. Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

We’re excited to introduce you and your young star to the wonders of Wattle Planet. If you’re interested in exploring further, we invite you to book a tour by directly contacting your preferred centre. We strive to accommodate your schedule and will find a time that suits you best.

Our team of educators is wholeheartedly devoted to creating an educational, fun, and safe environment where children can thrive, preparing them not only for school but for life beyond. At Wantirna, we live by the mantra, “Time spent playing with children is never wasted” – Dawn Lantero. Individual Learning Plans are developed in partnership with families and used to guide learning around each child’s strengths, interests and goals. Educators draw on these plans to shape experiences that suit each child’s needs and stage of development.
