According to the organizers' arrangement, 8,000 students, including 7,000 from home and 1,000 from abroad, will be grouped into 8 batches. Each group will participate in a 3-day social activity in the province. During their stay in Sichuan, the students will visit the Sichuan Pilot Free Trade Zone, Chengdu Science City and an innovation and entrepreneurship base for university students, etc, where they will have face-to-face talks with high-caliber personnel about Sichuan's entrepreneurial climate. At the Chengdu Planning Exhibition Hall, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, Tianfu New Area and Tianfu Greenway, they will be given a better understanding of the Chengdu's livable environment. Famous local cultural and natural scenic spots, rural tourist attractions, ancient towns and Sichuan Cuisine will enable them to learn more about the long history and splendid folk culture of the province.
As this year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, 300 Chinese and foreign students will visit northeast Sichuan's Guang'an City, hometown of Deng Xiaoping (1904-1997), "the Chief Architect of China's Reform and Opening-up." In the great man's birthplace, they will cherish the memory of Deng, and witness the economic and social development there.
