Check Up With The Specialist Today

It's been 9 weeks since I was properly diagnosed with rosacea, and after that fateful appointment I was sent home with more questions than answers... feeling lost, scared, adrift... Thank goodness for support forums! And, in that 9 weeks I've adjusted my lifestyle factors and started my therapies and recommended treatment regimen. It's looking now like the hard work is starting to pay off.

I haven't had a full-blown flare up in 9 weeks (just a little bit of mild rosacea activity here and there).

I've responded well to the topical gel medication I was prescribed.

I'm doing great with both daily red light and green light therapies.

I've managed to remove a good amount of triggers from my diet and environment (but this often takes a full year to be certain one has gotten them all).

I'm working towards accepting that my condition is chronic... but I'm not there yet.

Before diagnosis and treatment, I was having a major flare up about once a week... So, I'd say that not having one for 9 weeks is good progress. I hope my specialist feels the same way and will continue to support me on this journey for as long as she can, considering I'm moving several states away very soon and will have to start all over with finding and building a medical team.

Hey, briggy!!! how are you today? just got through with all the med stuff. My specialist is very pleased with my progress and has found another doc to refer me to when I get to Atlanta. All in all, the appointment went very well.
