Checks
Today I wrote check #3 on my vacation account. This check was for a tee shirt to be worn at the FMO retreat. Check #2 was for a tee shirt to be worn at a FMO retreat. Check #1, however, is the one that stares me in the face on the rare occasion that I open the book. Check #1 was for $50.00 and was written out to Barbara Smith. On this check she has no titles, no terms of endearment, no silly names and no written words of either love or respect. Just cut & dry, plain ole check. Barbara Smith. This fact bothers me to no end so I have now adorned this regular looking carbon copy check that is left in my checkbook on page one to stare me in the eyes every time I open the book. Now I have written Turtle Dove and Superhero and Momma B and even Mary Ellen. I am looking for a couple turtle stickers to further beautify this plain page that just doesn't do our Barbara Smith justice.

That is incredible - Barbara saying Hi!

I understand, Colleen. I still have emails in my inbox that Barbara sent to me. I will delete them when I am ready. Just like I deleted my Dad\'s last email to me when I was ready, just like I will place my son\'s ashes somewhere when I am ready. I will know. Love you, Belinda
What a wonderful way to honor our friend. I too have her emails saved and am not ready to delete them. It gives me comfort to know she is with our children and trying to get Anthony and Binks Michael to behave. Love to you
Love YOU dear Colleen and that tender heart of yours... today and always. Tight hugs, Joanie
