chasing voices

Your mother has Alzheimer's you know! Yes I know I said with sadness in my heart and a tear in my eye. But don't worry I'll take you because we are a family. Soon after that Jim died. My mother continues to worsen. But for me that is not the scary part. The scary part is that I have forgotten what Jim's voice sounds like! I thought I would always remember his laughter or just the comforting way he spoke to me when things were bad for me. Some days I just want to go to heaven to find his voice again. But I know like everyone else, I must do the right thing and wait until God calls me home.
