Charlie Sheen's Guide To Indoor Playground

is?3fmYhsBqf0oqN1DMFcGnc03CArwUNtHTpzjzDIf you live in an area such as we do in Western New York (we're in Rochester!) With superbly hot summers and cold snowy winters, you'll know your options for your kid's birthday celebration are mostly determined by the weather.
As an August baby, we always had little family parties out at my house. However, with sons born in November and March, we're constantly left to book an indoor place for their celebrations, if we decided to have them that season. While those with kids with summer birthdays might appear blessed to have numerous choices at their disposal, it may also often feel overwhelming.
While in Climbing Vines Cafe and Play we might be biased because we host indoor celebrations, I wished to share with you the 5 most common reasons we hear from previous party clients to reserve indoor summer evenings with us. To these, the stress-free nature of the indoor summertime party is a no-brainer, and they're not looking back! Following their first indoor summer celebration , they keep hosting with us year after year.

The most common reason for a client to book a summer indoor party with us is they don't have to stalk the weather prediction for updates in the weeks leading up to the celebration. Nothing can derail a fun celebration faster than having to cram all of your guests within your house, waiting for a storm to pass. And if you've ever needed to cancel or postpone your kid's birthday because of weather, you realize how heartbreaking that could be.
We receive dozens of calls every summer a couple of days before somebody's outdoor party is supposed to happen to see if we have an open slot for them within our indoor celebration place because of weather woes. We can usually pull this off if the spot remains open, but hosts will unfortunately need to starve and allow all of their guests are aware of the change in place and likely change in time, and also change all their catering orders to accommodate their new party program.
While of course rain is most likely the biggest obstacle you might face, intense heat, unseasonably cool weather, and end may also pose issues to your food, decorations, along with your guests' possessions. You will probably find yourself investing in a tent or some other weather barrier simply to ease your mind a bit, which can be costly and require lots of precious time to set up and take down. I won't even tell the narrative of this time my Dad set up a tent for a celebration in a windstorm and wound up with a insurance coverage for 4 damaged cars when it blew away (weights and anchors and all!) ...

Aside from the obvious weather worries it's possible to avoid with an indoor party, there can also just be something so simple and lovely about an indoor summer celebration. Guests will not need to be worried about bringing sunscreen and towels and sunglasses and swimsuits and changes of clothes and insect spray... you get the picture.
Sometimes it's wonderful to have a short break in the outside, sip coffee in an air-conditioned cafe, and have an actual conversation with other adults while the kids play, rather than chasing kids around trying to receive their hat on them or keeping them away from your in-ground pool. I'm not sure about you, but I could never really relax at an outdoor summer birthday party with a 2 and a 4 year old. While they sure do have a good time running around, we usually leave at a daze or using a tantrum, unsure if we even had time to chat or check in with everybody.
While I absolutely adore a good barbecue or summer grilling extravaganza, I find it refreshing when we can take a break in the same-old backyard celebration and spend a couple of hours at a relaxing, cool, and most importantly-- included! -- air.
It's also freeing as a guest to have the remainder of the day to do as we want as a family, not need to be concerned about getting the children to a tub immediately after the celebration or quitting home to cool off and change clothes.
I guarantee that if you reserve an indoor party for your son or daughter, guests (especially family) may appear a little confused at first (why not just take advantage of the summer weather while we could, right?) But after hosting countless indoor parties I will tell you for certain that on the day-of, you and your visitors will realize how nice it can be to reunite in an air-conditioned private party for a couple hours.

Speaking of how relaxing a indoor, air-conditioned party could be, can we talk about food for a second? Not only are food choices limited with an outside celebration because of heat, but it can be difficult to keep food covered and retain the bugs, bees, and other debris away.
So, for our loved ones, the meals factor alone could be sufficient to warrant an indoor party.
Eating in peace without needing to find colour or a seat or a location away from pests is just one of these things you do not realize can be so glorious until you attend your fourth or fourth outdoor summer gathering and after that get a rest from them. Among the most common things we hear is how fine it's to just sit and eat and watch the kiddos play with no any other venue-related cares or concerns. This will be especially important if you're going to be having elderly family members attend who can struggle with being portable in the grass or mud and locating seating at outdoor parties.
Plus, when was the last time you attended an outdoor summer celebration with a complete espresso bar and cafe available for guests to enjoy now that they don't need to be concerned about running around chasing their children in the heat? Don't worry, we have you covered there, literally!

While celebration aesthetic may not be a deciding factor for each and every household, it sure is significantly easier to make a themed extravaganza that lights a youngster's face up as soon as the party's indoors. The decorations required tend to be less since the place is smaller and contained contained, and you won't need to be concerned about balloons and streamers blowing all about or securing table covers down.
Since we do host mobile events outdoors at Climbing Vines Cafe and Play, I can also speak from experience when I say the time that it takes to set up (and take down!) Decorations for an outside celebration compared to an indoor party usually ends up being at least double. Finding great places to hang banners, requiring two people to hold and secure everything, and locating weights or other restraints for everything can be a genuine hassle on celebration.
And you will have enough to worry about this day, right?
Also, if your pinterest boards are full of cute centerpieces, a candy bar, or anything that may be affected by wind (or bring bees!) You will probably have to restrategize to get an outdoor soiree.
Not to mention decoration typically can only get used once if used outdoors, but repurposed again and if used for an indoor event. Our guests that host indoor events, notably those who spent significant money into decoration or labored hard to create their very own, are pleased to find they can usually make a large chunk of their cash back by reselling their supplies on something like Facebook Marketplace.
Speaking of money, probably the greatest misconception I hear from clients is they want to sponsor a party at their home to save themselves the rental fee of an indoor area. I generally laugh at this because it makes great sense, that is, if you have never hosted an outdoor celebration.
With all the"extras" such as tents, chair rentals, additional decorations, weather reinforcements, clean-up provides, games and activities for the kids (which you won't have to supply at a play place!) , pool toys, etc.... It's very likely you are going to wind up spending MUCH more hosting a celebration at your home or an outside place than you'd inside.
I'm not sure how other indoor spaces manage their supplies, but we just charge guests for extra beverages and supplies and these on the afternoon of the celebration should they wind up needing themand we also enable parties to attract in their OWN meals, dessert, and decoration if they choose!
Money aside, spending countless hours cleaning before, during, and after the celebration can also have a toll. Wouldn't it be nice to walk into a sparkling clean area and depart with your guests when the party's over, not having to be concerned about the cleanup, garbage removal, tent teardown, etc?
It's possible to just head home and unwind with your family (yes, possibly outside!)
In addition to the time spent cleaning before and after the party, would not it ALSO be wonderful to not need to play"server" throughout the event? Even for customers that bring in their own food and decoration, our dedicated celebration assistants set up everything, refill and fix food and beverages as necessary, clear plates, cut and serve the cake, and package up all of the leftovers in the end of the celebration!
In the end, it is your child's special day and you want to spend those precious hours making memories and seeing with your guests-- not running about chasing your decorations or refilling the fruit bowl innumerable times.
So save everybody (and especially your own family!) We would be honored to offer you an easy, enjoyable experience that will leave your entire guest list feeling joyful, thankful, and filled with love after spending a relaxing (yet fun-filled!) day together.
