Chaos again
As much as I try to find a peaceful life, I can't seem to keep peace around for a time. My roommate and I were basically given until the 1st to leave the house we are staying in. The lease is in the other roommates name and my roommate has been paying all the rent and bills for months now. We were never on the lease. We trusted this person and now they have a place to live and we don't have anywhere to go.
I take some of the blame for this. I was the last to move in, was contributing to bills and rent and trusted this individual. Now I can't qualify for a house. I have had no lease history for quite some time and lived in a shelter for 3 months.
We have been offered to live with my roommates sister and her husband. But, I am reluctant to get in this situation again. It's all been a disaster. I told my roommate that I am getting my own storage unit and putting my things in as I can organize it easier this way. I am very close to getting my own place or sleeping in my car again. Atleast this way, I know what to expect.
I have been stressed out for weeks now and have looked at multiple properties. Because my roommate collects cars, we can't just take any property. It must be able to accomadate 6 vehicles and this is where my patience wears thin. Advice anyone?

I gave up on finding a "Peaceful Life." These days I settle for appreciating the peaceful moments and it seems to provide far more peace than the quest for all or nothing.
Gentle support while you work through the housing crisis. I get impatient looking for parking for a single vehicle. 6 of somebody else's vehicles sounds like more challenge than I would take on. More and more, driving is the easy part. Parking is the challenge.
Yes, Arfie, Your right, the parking is the hardest part. We did get approved for a house but it was higher than we wanted to pay so we are back to contemplating living with his relatives for a couple of weeks and not jumping into anything too fast. I know this is probably the smartest thing. Over the last 6 months I have been more humbled and have learned things about myself I did not like and why I constant;y pursued things I shouldn't. I think I got so comfortable with chaos that I had to have it around however, I've had to be patient the last 6 months and that caused me to have to slow down and wait. I just woke up one day and said "I need peace" and sometimes that requires sacrifices which Im now willing to make.
In my peer support circles, chaos addiction is taken seriously. I am a recovering chaos addict. Becoming aware of the yaddahs of those blahs hurt like a father fuck, but the gain was worth the pain. I still haven't found lasting peace, but the moments of peace are growing longer and more frequent.
Be patient with the process, Sage. Time always looks longer coming than it does after it is done.
