Joined this group and realized that I hadn't written a journal on FMO since 2016...WOW. Lots has gone on with me. Discovered that I have Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and I have been on oxygen full time since June of 2016. I retired the end of 2019 from my job after 37 1/2 years. My Mom lived with me the year of 2018 and then had to be in a nursing home the year of 2019 until she died on October 30, 2019. The month of October that she was in the hospital and then back at the nursing home on hospie care I had a leak under my house and discovered that all my plumbing needed to be replaced. With everything else that was wrong with the house I decided to purchase a mobile home, sell that house for what I could get out of it and pay off my small business loan that I purchased it with when my other mobile home was destroyed by the flood. From October 5th until I moved into my new mobile home on Oct 29 I lived in the house with no running water...felt like a pioneer. We all have many challenges that we have to walk through, but here we are, still walking through it! I was blessed with 2 more great grandsons. Kingston Lee was born November 12, 2018. He and his Mommy live in Florida. Also, my oldest granddaughter who lives in Arkansas and has my oldest great grandson Landon had another baby boy February 18, 2019 and his name is Neil. I don't get to see them often, but they are certainly blessings in my life and are my Clinton's legacy.
I'm obviously not on here much, but do follow several of my sisters on facebook and such. I love you all and sure do miss being able to attend the retreats. Wishing all of you a 2020 filled with blessings and peace!!! Lynn

WOW, yes, so much going on in your world the last couple of years. You really did live a pioneer lifestyle there for a while! Makes me think of our dear AnnM. I do try to keep up on FB, but sometimes we don't always want to share our stories there. Thanks for joining Life Stories by the way. This is the reason why I wanted to start the group....to have a space between FB and FMO just to talk about anything and everything.
I'm very sorry about the passing of your mom. I know how hard losing a momma can be.

So good to hear from you! Wow - you have had your challenges. I understand the joy of grandchildren. We adore our great grandchildren, but like you we don't see them enough. I am just sad that they won't know their grandmother, Lisa.

I’m a great-Grammy to 5 now. Eddie’s daughter has 3 girls and his son Josh has a son and a daughter. Since Eddie is my only child I’m so grateful that he had his two kids and now I have great-grandies! And my grown grandchildren and I remain close. I’m blessed.
I’m sorry your health has presented such a challenge. I hope you are feeling well despite the diagnosis. And I’m very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing.

I had a response all typed out earlier this week and a 504 message popped up. I didn’t have time to type it out again until now. I am so sorry for your health challenge and the loss of your mom. I still expect to see a message on our house phone from my dad when I return home and we lost him June 2018. I am glad you are in a safe place now with the luxury of running water. Whew! No grandchildren here but it must be a joy watching them grow, even if mostly in pictures and hearing their stories on the phone. So glad to see you here, Lynn!
