Change of Season

Sitting alone in the dark in my room
I've opened the curtains wide
No one can see in, but I can see out, as I watch my world turn white.
Curled up in the warmth of a man, many seasons have we shared.
His smell, his feel, his soft warm breath; my soul he has layed bare.
I watch the light seep into our room, the air so crisp and clean.
I grab my robe and down the stairs I go
into the brightness of winters first day.
