change
Okay, I know this may sound strange to some but, I have in my life had some shifts in thinking that something in my head just clicked, and I knew there was going to be change. I do not know where it comes from.I am not the kind of person that makes quick decisions, I must ponderthem for a long time, however I also do not let fear keep me from doing things that I want to do. I came out as a gay man about 20 years ago, at that time at least where I lived gay men were not supportive of men that said that they were bi. I kind of tucked that away for years until about 3 years ago when I started noticing women again. I did not give it much thought. That something thatclicked was, that I am finished dating men and sex with men also. I however am not going any furher that that right now.Ever since I was a child I wanted a wife and kids but that got neatly tucked away not without much sadness. I have just noticed lately that the straigh world is much more appealing to me.So I am setting out on another journey of discovery much like 20 years ago when I started living this life.I know that I will have to hear much anger and defensiveness from many of my friends but they do not know my heart. I am not ashamed of my life at all, I just see something else that is very appealing to me. I know that I am attracted to men physically, but also women. I will always have that attraction. I do not question it.I chose to date men and be manogamous I can do the same with whomever it is. If anyone wants to discourage me I ask them, can you see my heart? No of coarse not.So please just don't.I have been a little lonely since this started because I have separated slowly from my friends the last 6 mo. maybe because this was brewing, but I am well.Like I said just not dating men now, I am not jumping into trying to date a woman. I just need time to soak things up. This all being said, who knows what tomorrow will bring. Maybe never date a woman or a man but I am good with that. Eric

Well I think the community (gay or straight) has pushed bi people away. I know some gay people that refused to date bi guys because they are afraid a woman will come along and he will leave him. That\'s not a correct justification because a gay man can leave a man for another man if he truly does not love him. It\'s just an excuse to discriminate against another person. I don\'t think you should be ashamed or withdraw from your friends because you are wanting to date a woman. Having an attraction to both sexes is who you are and that\'s a wonderful thing. Everyone is wonderful exactly how they are because that\'s how they were created. I hope you can draw closer to your friends and stay close to them regardless of whom you date. If they are truly your friends, they will accept you no matter who you date. I wish you the best in whomever you choose to date because only you know what will make you happy and that\'s what is most important.

Whatever you decide, you have my support. I spent about a week with my nephews in August, and I was telling myself, \"Shit, kids are cool. Especially if they are teenagers and have minds.\" Anyway, where ever life takes you is cool.
