Ch-ch-ch-changes

Just a quick note to say that I am enjoying watching my stretch marks grow.  They started on my hips and have now snuck under my belly.  More every day. And this morning in the shower I was shaving my legs, and was inspired to sing the song, "Oh where, oh where have my ankle bones gone?  Oh where, oh where can they be?" The girls and I are doing well at 28+ weeks.  I am exhausted like nobody's business, and ironically I have picked up a part time job to add to my exhaustion.  I'm doing temporary attorney work, 20 hours per week, working with some documents in Portuguese.  It's fun, and it's great to get a wee bit of income before I'll be completely incapacitated again, but it just makes me more exhausted.  I know every pregnancy is different, but if everyone were as tired as I have been, can the human race have survived? I was planning a "Celebration of Life" open house party -- as an alternative to a baby shower -- for last Saturday.  On Friday night I cancelled it and called everyone and told them not to come.  I slept all Saturday instead.  I just couldn't imagine both cleaning the house AND giving people something to eat, all the while staying awake. Other than slipping back into soporific disability, we're all doing well.  I haven't checked in on a lot of my friends here in a while, but I hope everybody's okay and things are progressing the way you want.  And if not yet, 2009 will give us all a fresh start. Much love, K
