Cervical cancer 1b1 or higher

Hi,
Just joined this group looking for others who have had Cervical cancer (adenocarcinoma) and have made it past that 5 year mark and am not having any luck.  I'm hoping I can find some people here who have maybe made it and can give me inspiration.  I'm 45 and just had a complete, radical hysterectomy taking everything - ovaries, nodes, tubes and some parametrium.  Waiting for the results from the pathologist on the extent of the cancer.  One frightening thing I've seen is that this comes back...usually kinda quickly somewhere else in the body (bones, lungs, liver, brain).  Most of the entries I'm looking at people stop updating after about 2 years...I worry if the reason for that is they die.  Looking at some medical papers and journals and what I'm isn't very positive.  Is there anybody out there who's have cervical cancer and is still alive more than 2 years out?  I have 3 children under 15 a husband I adore and don't want to die and leave them alone.  I don't want my children to grow up without their mom.  I don't want to die in a hospital bed with tubes and hoses and drains coming out of me and in horrible pain.  Please.  Is there anybody out there who has made it past the 5 year mark with Cervical cancer?
