Celebration time
So that last time I journaled I was complaining about my job situation. Well I went for an interview last Friday. The principal I knew and the VP was very relaxed. The interview went well, however after I began to second guess myself and then they told me that I would probably not hear back for another 4 days or so because they are still interviewing other people. When I got back to school, my principal looked very concerned so I though that I did not get the job.I spent the weekend in a bit of a depression...you know, siblingless, childless and now I might have to teach a crappy schedule. So today I resigned myself to my crappy schedule. then the VP called me to come down to the office. He was so serious that I was afraid that I did something wrong...then the job offer came in and I spent the rest of the staff meeting with a perma smile on my face. I will be so sad to leave a school that I was at for 10 years, but now it is time to move on to a POR position with $80 extra a month and more hassles....but the trade off is that I can revamp the department anyway I want. Implement new programs and really focus on making the school a richer environment. I guess having a failed IVF'......has pushed me to further my carreer. Fertility is not going to tie me to my old school any more (it was 10 mins away from the clinic). I can focus on me...walking every morning to clear my head for the day, swimming this summer in uncle bobs pool, spending time with my grandmothers, helping my mother clean up, etc... My mother even noticed that I have lost some wieght. I guess all this worrying etc... has paid off.Yippy! I have moved from just a teacher to head of the whole geo department.
