Celebrating Doctor Who

I wrote this a month ago to explain to non-Whovians what Doctor Who is like. I decided to copy and paste it here to celebrate Doctor Who. (I'm really just trying to find Whovians) It's not really done but I hope it makes sense to you and doesn't make me sound like a lunatic. That's the curse of the Whovians. You can not explain it without sounding like a lunatic.

Anyway, here it is:

It centres on a time traveler named the Doctor who comes from a race of beings known as the Time Lords from a planet called Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. His spaceship is called the TARDIS which is an acronym for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. This spacecraft, which looks like an ordinary sixties police telephone box on the outside, due to the Chameleon Circuit being faulty, has almost infinite dimensions on the inside. The Chameleon Circuit is a program which changes the exterior to match its surroundings. The Police Telephone Box has become such an iconic shape in British culture that it is currently the exclusive trademark of the BBC rather than the original owners, the Metropolitan Police Service. The Doctor travels through time and space, often accompanied with a companion, and rescues millions upon millions of lives from alien life forms set to conquer the Earth and/or other planets, take over galaxies, and wipe all life from the universe and beyond. Sometimes, the Doctor may save lives at the cost of his own, but to save his own life, he reprograms every cell in his body, turning into a completely different person. This is called Regeneration, a process gained by the Time Lords through many exposures to the Time Vortex, and is the main part in helping Doctor Who grow into the longest lasting Science-Fiction TV show in the world. Due to this ability, Time Lords may have many faces throughout their lives. During the 2005 revival, it was revealed that Gallifrey was destroyed in the Last Great Time War against the Daleks, a race created by Davros and also the Doctor’s worst enemy. The Doctor, unable to endure the terror of the war any more, activated the Moment, the Time Lord’s greatest weapon, wiping all the Daleks and Gallifrey along with the Time Lords making the Doctor the last of his race. This left the Doctor with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder causing him to make some questionable choices. The Doctor later learned that he did not destroy Gallifrey, but evidently locked it in a Time Bubble, therefore wiping the Daleks in their own crossfire. After changing his own history, he left without the memory of saving his planet in a new body. He inadvertently married Queen Elizabeth I and Marian Monroe before finally meeting His lifelong companion River Song. River Song, the long lost daughter of the Doctor’s companions, Amelia and Rory Williams, was taken from Amy and Rory as a baby and sent to Demon’s Run where she was raised and “programmed” to kill the Doctor. She succeeded in doing so, but when she learned more about him and saw her true self, she used the remaining of her Regeneration energy, which she gained when Amy was pregnant with her whilst traveling in the TARDIS, to bring him back to life and they later got married in an alternate universe when she refused to kill him again, stopping a fixed point in time and creating a paradox. She later died saving the Doctor’s life although it was too early in his time stream to recognize her. In her lifetime, she and the Doctor met in numerous adventures, although, due to the fact that they both travel in time and space, they usually meet at different points in eachother's time streams, most likely in reverse order.
