Catching up

Well I haven't been on in a long time . I still have not been back to my pain doctor in 2 years or more . Last time I had a procedure doen called a nerve burn . It didn't work at all . If I go back then all of it starts over with the injections of steroids , that in my opinion are useless . I guess I am just going to have to learn to live with the pain . All the other problems like nerve twitches and burning sensations in my hands and fingers are still there .It is still funny to go in to a new doctor and tell them that I have Syringomyelia ,most of them don't have a clue what to do for it . Others just want to down play it or make statements like: Your the best SM patient that I have most of my patients with it can't walk or move around on their own . Come to find out they have no patients with SM . I have thought about going to Denver to see Dr. Moro but , if I go there then I have to be there for a while and I can't afford to stay up there in a motel or hotel . I do have some friends that live around the Castle Rock area but they may be moving . 

I was doing some work in my garage the other day , I had to get up into the back of my truck to do something . Well I got my step stool out and started climbing onto the tailgate . My right knee (that has been fixed 3 times all ACL and MCL repairs) gave out and I fell , on my back all the way to the floor . I was real greatfull that I didn't break anything . As it is I also hit the back of my head on the concrete floor . I laied there for about 10 minutes or so before I tried to get back up on my feet . I am ok ,I guess just sore and very stiff and brused every where . So I am not going to try that again . It was scary trying to grab onto something anything to stop myself from falling . And then thud you hit the floor . I know it only took a second or two for it to happen but it seemed like the trip to the floor took forever . I a;so tore a pretty big gash in my right arm just above the elbow . Probably from hitting the bricks on the outside wall of my house on the way down . I didn't even feel that until I saw the blood on my arm .

I am hoping that some of my old friends on here are still here . I know it has been forever since I have been here . Sometimes you just have to take a step back and regroup and then carry on .
