Cataract Surgery
I have been scheduled for Cataract surgery on May 30th and June 6th. Dr. says they are bad and should have been removed 2 yrs. ago. I have noticed it was getting harder to see and night driving was more challenging than it used to be but, there again, I am 80 yrs. old past so, I am not surprised.

I had both eyes done last year Peewee and there're really not much to it
The main thing b4 were eye drpos
It took about half an hour and there was no discomfort at all
Sedated and good local via drops
It really was a breeze!!

Thanks Jan, I have been shot, stabbed, had a finger cut off and reattached, my left hand crushed and steel pins in it for 5-1/2 months, but, for some reason, messing with my eyes alarms me a bit, We'll see how it goes.
It's really easy
You have to use a lot of different drops mostly pre op that are more an annoyance than anything else
You're sedated and drops freeze the area
It's an easy thing to go through or it was for me and I can be a wuss

Praying for a speedy recovery. My mom had both eyes done a week apart. And all was well. Are you getting the the near, far or mixed lenses?
I am getting the far lenses. They said I still may need glasses to read. but, that;s ok. I've worn glasses for 40 yrs. anyway.
Update on Cataract Surgery:
First surgery on my right eye went well. I was completely out, never felt or heard a thing. I had my left eye done yesterday it it was not good. I felt the pain when they made the incision in my eye, I felt the in and out dragging sensation and I heard the surgeon say "almost done". My eye hurt so bad all day yesterday, last night and it still hurts today. I don't know if I had a different surgeon or a different anesthesiologist but, something was not done right yesterday. I am scheduled for a post-op check next Tues. and I am certainly going to tell them what happened and what I felt.
