Cooking chicken at the minute, haven't done that in a long time. i'm getting it ready for tomorrow. finished off the macaroni salad, yum. super hot today, around 88 degrees. did mostly NOTHING. lol. was at the house up north. i keep feeling like i must be forgetting something, because its too quiet. lol.
went to the sale at save a lot to get the chicken and apple juice. there was some woman there trying to cut in line. you don't see a lot of that nowadays. wonder what kind of medication she should be on. no one would let her in and the men on line are like, this is save a lot, its cheaper, but you wait. that's the trade off. this isn't target. (if you shop at save a lot always add another 30 minutes and perhaps a book or magazine to read, for the line and the shortage of cashiers. lol).
l played around on facebook. discovered dinaah is on line and her career path follows mine, cracks me up when i see that. not all of it, just the office stuff. there is a woman who is local and her office stuff in years spent at each thing in her 20's and then afterward is almost identical. with d, she started out similarly in the north east, then stayed in cr, then switched over to real estate, then mortgages and then titles. she says she has now gone full circle, from where she started out. i was saying the same thing to the girls recently, all those "silly" jobs that polish you off in your early to late teens, allll of those skills end up coming in handy later on in life, you use them again and its easy to just slip back into it all and get back in touch with the general public. amazing to see the same thing in someone else, when you aren't in touch at all and have no influence at all on each other - we don't e mail each other or anything. she is also around ten years older, which i don't remember ever knowing that, though knowing me i knew and forgot. the actual time (years) of doing things only sometimes overlaps, but is still eerily similar. she also lived in many of the same areas but for different reasons, mine is health and her choices revolve around where her family/extended family chooses to live. and her extended family is much smaller (but what are the odds of so many similarities?) life is strange. even the summer camp thing is the same but different camps. odd. she is the one who's family/extended family were in concentration camps in poland as children during world war 2. so sad.

if j was sitting here he would say, all of us live similarly, like the princeton review \"map of life\" thing. true and not true. \"office\" as a general term, i would say yes. but the specific kinds of offices. what are the odds.

The sad truth is that taking a kitten away from his or her mother and raising it as our own forces the cat to take the human family as its own. So if you abandon a dog or cat in a wild place as many humans do, they will wait patiently for weeks or months for someone from their family to come back for them. When nobody does, they will often lose their will to live. You could say they die of a broken heart. I\'ve seen this happen. This is currently a big problem in the urban areas near the Florida Everglades, hundreds of dogs and cats are being abandoned in areas where they cannot survive on their own. They eventually die or get killed by predators, often while sitting at the side of the road waiting for their family to return.
Cats are extremely intelligent, it\'s the humans who lack basic intelligence. Humans have the ability to understand complex abstractions, but most of them lack the very basic things like common sense. Put a human in a wilderness and he or she will likely just walk in circles until they\'re exhausted, totally ignoring the sun\'s direction in daylight or the stars at night. That is not the behavior of an intelligent being.
Where I live, people keep getting lost while they\'re within a quarter mile of major roads. They set off with a gun to kill animals for fun, never thinking to take a compass or water or pay attention to the landmarks around them. Then they wander aimlessly for days until someone finds them.
this is a new study richie and its saying basically what you are stating, that cats are intelligent as well as independent and that independence and autonomy are signs of intelligence. the article is about small domestic cats.

Loved to read the truth about cats! I think we all think of themas very smart and intelligent, but some of these facts put an even brighter light on their instinctive behavior. I\'m saddened about their waiting for family, we probably shouldn\'t separAte them from their families for our own selfish pleasure, Humans do some very unkind things to satisfy ourselves,
I don\'t remember where I read about those dogs and cats being abandoned...it was a news story probably...a very recent one, I remember that. I think it was part of a petition I signed.
It\'s the Miami-Dade area that\'s having big problems with this right now, but I\'m sure it happens all over the country.
If we care about cats and dogs, first step would be trying to find out who these friendly companions truly are. Good for you for taking that step.
If you feel up to reading about a totally devastating animal rights issue, look up the plight of the sun bears in China. They\'re relatives of pandas, don\'t ask me more...it\'s just too much for me to think about. It just tears me up to think about what\'s going on with them.
There are so many stories of animals being abused by humans, it\'s an enormous problem all over the world.
Lost a beloved cat back in 2006 (same year my dad died). Genevieve was adopted by me as a feral cat that no one else wanted. She was considered too aggressive and feisty. Not wanting a cat put to sleep on account of her personality, I not only took her--I bought her for $55.00! After a short while she calmed down and became a very devoted "lap cat", easily the most attached and affectionate cat I ever owned! I grieved for several years after her unexpected death during the night in my apt. It was not even time for her to go to vet for annual check-up. She was up to date on shots & check-ups. I did get to spend the last few minutes with her as she slipped away. She demonstrated LOVE in her final moments, which made it so heart-breaking to lose her.
