cant do it alone
I want to walk more but I cant do it alone. My husband dosnt either have the time for me and wont let me get a dog. If he could spend a little time with me with a walk in the evening at a slower pace it would help me. And I want more recpect. How do I go about doing that? He had his time in the morning to walk by himself. He isnt with me all the time. Thats twice or 3 x's a week he is away from me for 24hrs. I also get a little jealous of all the txting his friend does to him, and hes got to get to it right away. Then he spends all day outside. I feel neglected. I want to cry today but I am holding it in. I was changing in the bedroom and I hated on how he walked in on me. I got mad. I just didnt even care what he had to say, I just wanted him to leave. I am mad at him and he is mad at me. He just cant understand. I dont know how to even think today.

I am with you on this... am facing something similar with my husband. I also feel neglected. Yes I am angry and sad, too. But I am lucky he will sometimes take walks with me on the weekends (when he is actually home). Other than that, because of his long hours at work I don\'t really see him much or get to spend any time with him during the week. And if he is home, he is usually preoccupied. I feel left out most of the days and it\'s to the point I feel hurt now. I felt exactly the way you described and I was holding my tears in this past weekend (with all the drama going on).
Husbands just don\'t get it. It seems like they treat us like royalty when we are dating and then when we get married all that goes out the window. When you get married the romance, the love, and making the other person your priority is supposed to continue. I asked him 2 days ago why did he get married? He couldn\'t answer the question.
I\'m so sorry you are hurting like this.... I wish I could take it away because I know what it feels like. Do you have any friends nearby who may be able to walk with you? Big giant hugs to you.... I hope your week improves. I pray you feel loved!
I have a husband that works 13 hour days. He leaves at 6:00am and gets home around 6:30pm. He is an amazing man, hard worker, nice guy. But he is distant also. Preoccupied. Jerk, bossy.....we have even been through counseling and then slip back into our old ways. I just try and keep myself busy during the day, have my own life. Workout, volunteer. Maybe you could look in the paper and see if someone needs a dog walker. Or volunteer and the local animal shelter.
