Can you say Dumb...?

Okay, I don't get too personal here. My story is my own to tell and sometimes life is just too hard to share. I did something incredibly dumb this week. I forgot to check my gabapentin bottle for refill status. Oh my have I been a disaster for the last few days, not to say that the situation could have been dangerous for me and anyone within 50 miles of me. I got an emergency dose today and am waiting for doctor to fax in scrip. Man, I will not let that happen again. I was alone for three days and life was hectic before family took off, with the only vehicle I have to get to the pharmacy. It's only two miles away you say; I say yeah in 115 degree heat and I'm only up to a mile and a half stroll. I used to be a runner, a long distance runner, so you can't imagine how lame I feel right now.
To be without my gaba was horrific. I stretched the few pills I did have but was at half dose the first day and second day. Today I'm back on normal dose but still a grouchy bear and feel like warmed over kaka. Just saying. Do not do this at home folks.

Oh yes quite serious the gaba. I have done so with a script far less dangerous and I have hubby home to get the emergency script usually. A good reminder for me though to check scripts because he does take the occasional trip. It helps me to fill weekly dispenser so I can keep an eye on refill needs.

Here is to those nerves calming down my friend. Wishing you peace.

A good share for all us to be aware of refill needs.
