I can't wait to get this cast off. It itches and is driving me nuts!
It sucks having to do things with one hand. I get almost no help or sympathy from wife.
Just feeling kinda depressed today is all. Hoping I get a good dr report tomorrow when I see the hand surgeon in the AM.

I hope you get good news on the thumb tomorrow. Where you able to get your wood orders filled? Did anyone (wife or BF) offer to help you with the orders?
No help was offered. I struggled to package them myself and am nearly caught up. Thanks Joyce

I read a bit where you said your getting some feeling back in it - that\'s good. It seems like they can do so much more with this type of injury these days so I wish you the very best of luck with it!
Hang in there. While it\'s not great, you have so many other things about your health that are good so don\'t only focus on your thumb and forget about all the good health you have elsewhere.

Thanks arem and dinah, yea they said one of the things in my favor is that I am i n such good health. The bandage and cast is pretty thick but it feels like I can slightly bend it but not 100 % sure. There is a plate in there holding it together.. I slice right through the joint and shattered the ends of each bone so he said he did the best he could. It freaked me out as I tried to put it back together and it kept falling over. I could see one of the bones sticking out and hear the 2 bones clanging together as I tried to do the impossible. That is when I ran into the house and had wify call 911.

I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow! I know you\'ll let us know. OMGosh!!...I\'ll bet that did freak you out. I probably would have fainted!....or thrown up....or both!
When my mom was about 12, her and her brother were playing....running around the house.....She fell on a glass cat bowl and actually severed an artery in half on her wrist. Blood was squirting up like a fountain.
Her mom and dad weren\'t home, so she went running to the neighbors...(didn\'t have 911 then)....who literally saved her life by putting on a tourniquette.
