Can't stand myself
I know it's not good to compare yourself with others, but it's hard when you see people doing something with their lives that makes them happy (and if they are really very lucky they make a great living) I was watching a show on tv talking about video gamers. I remember trying to play video games with my nephew. It never grabbed me. Video gaming has gotten huge, it's not only people playing video games alone at home or with friends. Now they have tournaments and they talked about how you can hire coaches just like you can hire coaches to coach kids on baseball or football. I wonder what negative effects that has on them.
But I just wonder,when I hear stuff like this, where do I fit into this big wide world? I feel lost, like life is passing me by. And that perhaps the "thing" has been staring me in the face and I've been too blind or dumb to see it? :(

Have you ever sat down and made a list of what you're really, truly passionate about? Chances are, that's where you'll find the answer to where you fit in this world. While I don't understand the draw either, video gaming is huge, because kids (and some adults) are passionate about gaming. What is equivalent to video gaming for you, and what can you do with that talent?
By the way, you say you can't stand yourself, but I think you're pretty awesome!
I always thought that way. Try to look at the positives in your life, it works. I was great at my job, as a mommy to my dogs, a great friend to others & I love numbers. Hugs Brooke
Hi Linda, big caring hugs. wishing you much comfort, and i know with all of my heart, that times like this can come up, and we all experience times, when we have doubt, or wondering, if we could do more. i find that during these times, remembering good times of the past, and hobbies, that we enjoyed, we still can enjoy, and could lead to more :) youtube has so many cool videos these days, where people share their hobbies, from all kinds of different hobbies, arts, travel, and more :) There's always inspiration out there :) i will always believe in you, and i know you will achieve the greatest joys your heart wants to achieve :) You're a great person, and have so much more, to look forward too in life :)
