Can't deal with this new site.
I miss coming here. This site is confusing. I miss you all and the support you have given me. Just a update. I moved into a house. I have 2 older and 1 young (8 years old) granddaughters living with me. It's hard. Anyway I just pray I can do it. Brownie will be gone 2 years tomorrow. Seems impossible but it's true. I miss him more then ever now. Living life without him is miserable. Will I ever be just a little happy again? I miss having someone that cares about me. I'm just so sad and so tired of crying and worrying. I pray and pray for God to help me. I hope you all are doing well. Prayers for you all. Linda

Linda, I won't lie to you, it never goes away, but it does get manageable. My wife passed 4 years ago and I still have ups and downs. It's like a big roller coaster ride. Big ups, when you are having fun with the grandkids and big downs when you realize your soul mate isn't here to share in the good times with them. Don't let it consume your life. Your life is yours now. Brownie is watching and knows what you are going through. I believe they are with us always. I talk to my wife everyday. It helps me knowing she is there. That way I believe she really is sharing those good moments, the highs, that's the only way I get through this life that's remaining to me.
Take care of yourself,
Jeff

I'll be thinking of you, tomorrow.
Take care of yourself, keep in touch, we are here for you.......love and hugs from Sandra
Hello Linda...been awhile...like you, I can't deal with this new site either...I have screamed from the mountaintops for somebody to fix this shit, just give it back to us the way it was, but nobody's listening...I suspect it's nothing that can't be fixed with an eight-pound sledgehammer, which one would use to "adjust" the people who dreamed-up this FUBAR in the first place...but that option unfortunately is not available just right now...they must know better than all us old fogies who are not as "tech-savvy" as they are, so I guess we are just stuck with it for now...Maybe it's not fair to compare your experience with mine, but here goes...it's been 15-1/2 months since Marylou left this life, and I think I've learned alot...Three months ago I sold the house in Ohio and moved to Oklahoma where my one daughter lives with her husband and four of our grandchildren...I am surrounded by them, and the logistics of moving...the weather is better here and there are lots of open lonely roads to see what the ol' Harley "will do" (I've only gotten one speed ticket in the last year...not bad, really)...making new friends, one in particular who also lost someone close to them, and it helps, it really does...but still, Marylou is in all my waking thoughts...sometimes it feels like a million years ago, and sometimes it was just yesterday...no, it doesn't get any easier; what could possibly be "easy" about losing half of ourselves? But you know, that is testimony of how much we love them, and they love us...there is alot of "man, I know right what she would do in this situation", or "I can hear her voice right now"...I have learned when that happens, that is their Spirit communicating with us...and when the youngest of my daughter's kids, her six-year-old daughter comes up to me and says to me, out of the clear blue "I 'uv you to infinity and beyond"...she learned that from her Grammy...that is Marylou touching me...and I have learned that she is always with me...I have also learned that the most important thing for me to do, is never stop believing...I talk to Marylou every day, especially when I am on a long ride on a lonely road...sometimes, I cry tears of sadness, because it can never be the way it was...but other times, the tears are for the joy of KNOWING that she is always there for me...I just had one of those tonight, sitting here in the room next to her urn, right before I got on the computer and read your post...some would say the timing of that was "coincidence"...but, I am sure most of us at DS have no real reason to believe in coincidence...I'm not claiming to understand exactly what it is, but I am very sure it is not "coincidence"...I don't know what I'd do if I wasn't close to that youngest granddaughter, because I know that Marylou lives through her...and I have very good reason for my tears of joy...I pray that you have a relationship like that with one of your grandchildren...I think you can be pretty sure that if you do, that is Brownie reaching for you...Love Never Dies!
Hey there Linda, I have missed seeing your post. Been wondering how you have been doing, after losing your sweet brownie. This new website bites the big one!!! Its definetely not aimed at us older bunch, but as they say, life is ever changing, we can either embrace or disengage. Atleast its not crashing, lol. Id rather have this website, even as it is now, then not have any of you all, to relate, vent, cry, or chit chat with. So I am saying, Im grateful, we still have this site. I'd be lost without you guys/gals! Linda, I can't imagine what your going through with your losses, but just know I'm thinking/praying for you. With love, admiration, and a big ole stinkin hug. carla
First time I've been here in ages. I hope you all are doing better. Sadly I lost my son March 16 th. He was 49 years old. I wonder why people I love keep dying. 3 in 2 years. My husband my daughter now my son. I seriously don't know if I can go on. It's o much just to much. All I do is cry.
Found out I have incurable breast cancer. I wonder sometimes if God is mad at me. I don't know what I could have possibly done to make God so angry that he not only took 3 of the people I love more then anything in the world from me, but has given me a horrible disease on top of COPD at a time in my life when I had to take custody of my 4 g/daughters because their parents chose drugs as a lifestyle. What will happen to my girls if God takes me from them. Please say a prayer for me, please. I pray for all of you I just hope it helps.
