Can I just crawl into a hole and hibernate for the next two years?

Just when I think that everything will be ok, that I just got to muddle through the next 2 years and he'll be home, life just drops more shit on me.  My mom calls me to tell me my Granny (dad's mom) was put in icu last night and is basically unconscious.  She was diagnosed with Lung cancer a few weeks back.  She's in her 80's and yet they thought the best course of action was to start both chemo and radiation.  She wasn't in the best of health to begin with so why would they decide to do both.  One treatment alone would have been hard on her, let alone both of them.  Last wednesday she was taken to the hospital for dehydration.  She had to go on dialysis to clean out her blood from the treatment.  And now she probably will pass away.  She's my last grandparent so losing them isn't brand new to me.  And I'm glad she was able to see me get married and have a kid.  But of course this is still hard.  And then my husband isn't here.  The one person who is supposed to help me and comfort me can't.  I'm so mad right now. Mad at the doctors, she may have lived another two years without any treatments, mad at my husband, mad at the "justice" system, mad at the whole world right now.  And I don't know what to do about the funeral if she doesn't make it.  very few people know about our situation and I don't want to deal with questions about why my husband isn't there.  I have the excuse of the baby, she's only 5 months so a funeral isn't really a place for her so I can say she's at home and imply she's with Daddy not with the inlaws.
And I want my husband to call.  I want to cry to him and get angry at him.  I shouldn't have to be in this situation.  But knowing how my luck goes, I won't hear from him today since he called twice yesterday. I wish I could just run away, me and our daughter.  Not deal with anything or anyone until 2016.  But I have to work to pay bills and, you know, eat and whatnot.
