Can finally relax a little...Ahhhhh!
So, it has been almost 2 yrs. and 9 mos. since my husband died, suddenly. It has been the toughest time of my life, but I am making progress! I am stronger than I ever knew, and my daughters are, too. While I would never wish my woes on anyone, I am proud of myself and my kids for persevering and being strong. I sold a house, bought a condo, gotten a job, a wonderful partner, and I am financially secure. I managed to get 1 daughter with mental health issues a great support system and living on her own. Losing my wonderful, sweet husband was the worst thing to ever happen to me. Surviving the loss has made me proud of myself, as I know he would be proud of me too.

I am so happy for you! I didn\'t lose a spouse but I lost my dad in the blink of an eye. It\'s been 16 years and I still carry the strength and perseverance with me that I gained. You will always have the empty space in your heart for your husband, but you have created a beautiful and healthy life for yourself and you recognize how amazing you are!!! Thank you for sharing your story. Be well. xo
