Can Anyone Relate?
Hey Guys!
I am new to this site, and I am just wondering if anyone can relate to what I am going through/dealing with...I basically had the RNY (with some alterations to the technique) 4 months ago to correct a chronic issue that I had with regurgitation of food. Since surgery, the issue has persisted and now my doctors feel that my stomach (or what's left of it) is pretty much paralyzed-and always has been. I can only eat small amounts and everything that goes down, soft food/normal food/liquids, comes right back up...I am struggling to maintain my weight as I can't get enough nourishment.
I have been looking for a support group for a while now-I have tried others and have gotten nasty comments since this isn't the "typical" bariatric situation. I am just looking for some support, other ways to maximize my calorie intake and basically just other people who have been through this surgery who can relate to the struggles that it can bring to every day life.
I am really struggling with being in a positive head space since surgery-what were some ways that you took your mind off of the medical complications/life after surgery?
Thanks in advance!
