Can a girl get some love/encouragement?
I am soooo bummed out! This blister is now the size of a robin's egg and is showing no sign of popping. I'm so tempted to do it myself. Should I? I would say there is about an ounce of fluid in it. I want to wear my beautiful leg. Instead it's sitting in a corner mocking me! LOL So, any suggestions? Should I sterilize a needle and poke a hole in it? Or am I being stupid and begging for an infection?

If it were me (thankfully, it is not, but if it were) I guess I would do a quick review of my own likelyhood of getting an infection. Are you prone to them, did your surgery heal really well? If either of these answers is no, I think you migtht be barking up the wrong tree by sticking a needle in it. A better therapy would be warm compresses a couple of times a day to move to goop on out. I\'ve heard with blisters in general...no matter where they are...it\'s better not to pop them. I\'d consult a doctor. How did you get this blister? I\'d check in with your prosthetist after the blister is healed to make sure your socket is fitting correctly.
