Called To Nursing Home

I was called to the local Nursing Home here in town this afternoon.   The lady that was to play and sing for the residents, fell and hurt her hand so, she couldn't make it so, they called me.  I am their "spare tire".  When the Ministerial Alliance fail to cover their commitments to do the Devotions for the residents there, they call me.  I feel it an honor to play for these residents or to hold their devotion time for them.  It is never a burden for me, I count it as a blessing to be able to do this for them.
Tonight, I travel to a Funeral Home about 40 miles away, for a visitation and then, I drive back again tomorrow morning to do the funeral.
Any time I am asked to do music for Nursing Homes, Devotions or do a funeral, I count it as an honor.  People are people, whether they are young or old, healthy or sick, rich or poor.  It makes no difference to me.

I had been there this morning visiting with the residents. I go there every Monday morning and have for over 3 years. I don't believe I have ever missed a weekly visit. If I have a Dr. appt. or a funeral to do on Monday morning, I go either that afternoon or Tuesday morning.

Safe traveling to you, PeeWee! Be blessed as you bless and comfort others. Sounds like you\'re doing better than you were a month ago.
