Caging Anthony
Perhaps the only meaner client than technophobes on the Tech Support Help is the tech burn-out. I'm a multiple burn-out Techie. I don't much mind when the Appy Kids AssUme I am a geriatric technophobe. I consider it an upgrade over admitting my early career helped to give the Appy Kids their Appy Toys. I damn sure don't want credit for the too many of the works coming out of those Appy Toys. I'm okay hiding behind popular AssUmption that I am *just* a technophobic Granny. I'll even bake you some cookies to *prove* it. I make damn good cookies.
Today finds me in the mood to get art farty. On the days I can take myself seriously as, "An Artist," there is not a doubt in my mind that the computer is my medium. No, Appy Kid. I am not going to show you the portfolio which proves that. Would you like a cookie? How 'bout a glass of milk to go with that cookie?
The technical difficulties between me and getting art farty have become common enough grow into epic proportions of the long obsolete GIGO principal. Garbage In Garbage Out. The garbage flowing in from the worldwide web trash out a system quicker 'n' disposable baby diapers fill a trash can. The need to manage the digital landfill obsolete software quicker 'n' a fashion model changes fashion. I am unbelievably weary of needing to jump the worldwide web *just* to fart some art. Why does my art studio need to be set up in a friggin' freeway toll booth. Get me out of this gridlock!!!! App on, good buddies. Have fun without me!!!
Back to your cage, Anthony. Even if you are as right as you think you are, being right seldom changes facts.
The current tech hurdle to overcome is that the software in my camera is "obsolete" and the new downloads I am finding demand the right to reorganize my filing system for the Appy Kid convenience. Gnarl gnarl gnash gnash. . . Did I mention that I would rather be a geezer technophobe than a properly connected Appy Kid? Would you like another cookie?
Note: See earlier journal entries for explanation of, "Anthony." He is one of the too many puppets in my head. How do all those friggin freak puppets fit between my ears?

Damn kids and their new fangled apps...... When I was a kid we used to play with sticks and card board boxes....err..then the computer....and Hmm. Ok, I know a thing or two as well.
Does it give away my age that I remember when the dumbest of us were still smarter than our phones?
Harrumph. . .
It's an elder's job to disapprove of the youngers, isn't it? Perhaps the most time honored and multi-cultural tradition in human history.
I am sooooo not tech savvy that I'm pathetic BUT I would love 2 cookies and some milk
Enjoy getting into your art today sweetie..... Big hug.....xo
Alas, I couldn't get myself into the chair. . .
The hardest part of all this is getting myself to quit ranting and ply ass to chair. . .
Damned burnouts. . .
I want a cookie! Triple hugs. And I want to go back to the flight simulator hidden in excel days please. Or further back to that nice little chatbot Eliza. Ah the good ole days.
Sorry you didn’t get to the art arfie, a good creative spurt can go a long way. More triple hugs
1995 was the last version of Windows allowed me to keep my art studio off the information highways. That was before pen drives came on the market. I had to do the unbearable labor of copying my net ready files to a 3.5" disc. I wonder how many Appy Kids know what a 3.5" disc is. Not that it matters much. Identical function, different shape. Still, a different shape is all it takes to create culture shock in the average Appy Kid. Yea, the same Appy Kids who are now dictating the GIGO standards of digital art. It's all in "The Cloud." AKA some unidentified entity's servers. Gee. . . Why are there so many holes in my software? ? ?
I used that system for allot of years, but . . . Yaddah blah. Blah yaddah. Go ahead and call it, "Progress" that thou MUST be connected at all times. It's as good a name for ^it^ as any. ^it^ is at least as progressive as the Cliche Super Center going up in Farmer Johnson's hay field.
Allow me to disconnect, please. I love having all the world's libraries at my fingertips, but I don't need those libraries --or any of the shady characters panhandling at those library doors-- in my art studio. Different development phase, altogether.
Gnarl, gnarl, gnash, gnash. . .
I remember 5 inch floppies haha...also the 3.5 inch disk.
And you just gave away your age, respected geezer. . .
