By way of introduction...

Just became a part of Daily Strength. I'm not the most social character, but it's quite reassuring to have a place where I can put into writing the disorganized thoughts which are part and parcel of schizophrenia. I always seem to write better than I can talk...
Anyhow, it's been almost five months since my diagnosis, and treatment has been a lifesaver (I'm not wanting it to be over, to put it mildly)! I've been blessed with results from a low dosage of Seroquel, in a time-release caplet, so tardive dyskenisia will be only a slight risk later on. I've gotten more support than I'd originally expected, too, so that's been ever so helpful in going on with life. Looking back, I'm not doing so terrible after all...
I know there are others here (and elsewhere) who share my plight. In that light, I want to reach out to as many people as I can, whether you're afflicted, have a loved one who is afflicted, or even if there's a schizophrenic in your life who makes a significant impact. I welcome all inquiries and comments, friend requests and hugs! I love that about this site, and i could never look upon such a thing as a nuisance.

LavenderHippie, thank you for the kind words of encouragement! Said encouragement is what I so desperately need right now, and I\'m glad I can prove to be a source of inspiration to someone else, to a \"like mind\", such as it were.
You say, \"Thank you\"? I say, \"No...thank YOU!\".
