Buzy Chicken Day!!!

I was off to town today for the final lumber for the Chicken Condo... It is going to be so amazing; Guy really does think of everything when he'll building from a picture only.  Don't worry, I will post pictures when all is said and done  He's honestly thinking of everything:  trap door for egg collection, tray to clean droppings, nice enclosed coup for roosting, nice wire floor for pecking, and all is built on 4x4's so he can use his Bobcat to move it anywhere on the farm... WONDERFUL news on my Chicken Order.  I had ordered from a hatchery in Ohio, but it was going to cost $32.95 to have the chicks shipped.  Today, I got a followup call from Christy at Ag Land, and she was able to put my order on with an other customer's order.  She also has a coworker who lives in my little town, and he could bring them to me when they come in next week.  Now that they will only be about 30 miles away, I think I'll just pick them up.  Also, Christy is hooking me up with every thing that I need to start them off right:  heat lamp, bedding, feeder, waterer. And, for me this is really important, they will be New Moon Chicks (or really close to it!).  Anyone who gardens by the moon will understand this, I think.  I'm going to surf around the Web to see if I can find more info on raising poultry by the Moon... Finally, and my HAPPY-EST NEWS is that I'm getting the 6 Rhode Island Reds along with 2 of the Araucanas that lay GREEN EGGS!!!  I am so excited and have posted a picture of the new chicks.  I'm also going to try to find a better picture of the peeps cause THEY ARE SOOOOOO CUTE!!!
