Busy with Work
Work has been really busy, but very productive. This is my busy season, what we call "fire season." November into February. The month of December, I will probably get a fire a day. I will be out on the road a lot. I typically get more fires those months than the whole rest of the year combined. I did receive a little bit of a break the last few weeks and some assistance, so got a lot done. Went to a fire this AM involving a fatality, 85 year old mother. Thank God I don't get many fatailities. I can pay her to buy a new refrigerator or bed or sofa, but nothing I do can bring her mother back. But I left there with a splitting headache. It was so difficult to deal with the family. I have been SO tired over the last two weeks. No exercise, eating is crap. I am going with my Mom and friend tomorrow to a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert (yes!) We will be going out to dinner afterwards. Also started period this week with cramps etc and got a mammogram (so far I think all ok there.) So as of Sunday, I REFUSE to step on that scale, but the plan is to get back on track. I know I have gained weight. I can feel it. So I am not going to upset myself by stepping on that scale Sunday. I will wait a week. Steps are awful. Again, no exercise. No documentation in Fitday. Ugh! House is a mess. Will have to get up early tomorrow and at least "swish" as my mom and friend are coming her to pick me up for the concert. Hopefully, will be getting new tv soon to replace the broken one and can hook my Wii Fit back up. It has been raining all week. Finally got some sunshine today. I guess that hasn't been helping my mood any either. OMG, I ate like crap ALL week! Oh well. Couple more days and then back to business! Just in time for Thanksgiving dinner.

I would not be able to deal with someone losing a loved one in a fire! No wonder you have a headache.
Have fun at the concert...relax and enjoy! The diet track will still be there when you get ready to hop aboard again! Life is tough and sometimes you need to sit out a couple of days!
Jm said it... just keep going.. you\'ll get back into your routine... maybe it\'s like a mini vacation..
but do you notice that when you eat like crap.. you are more tired???/ just wondering......
have a great time at the concert... hope the family is doing well.... hugs
Hi...sounds like you\'re going to have a busy December. Don\'t beat yourself up on the diet and exercise plan...we all have those \"fall of the wago\"n times. I have been on a 4-week stint where I haven\'t exercised...was out of town...then sick...so I know how it feels with guilt, etc. You just get right back on. Hope you have a great concert. I\'ve always wanted to see those guys. Take care. Thank you for checking on me. It\'s rough but I\'m hanging in there as best I can.
It\'s kind of ironic, isn\'t it, how we are too tired to diet and exercise, and yet it\'s the good diet and exercise that give us the energy? I need a nap!
That must have been VERY hard talking to that daughter who lost her mother. Headache is right. Sorry to hear that you have to deal with that and I hope that you work provides you with training and support for those situations.
