Busy Month
It's going to be a busy month. There's a lot to do. First on the list is to get my car fixed. The shoulder harness on the driver's side of my car won't go all the way back. It's a bother, but it has to be repaired in order to get the car inspected. Without it, I can't drive the car. Next, Foxy needs a trip to the vet for her vaccinations. I'm leaving a note to my landlord when I pay the rent this morning. The wood on the roof overhang at the back of the house has warped and squirrels have knawed through and may be in the attic. That can be a big problem. Then, there's Christmas. Only 2 presents this year. Both sisters and brother-in-law are hard to buy for. Sara told me when I was at her house, that I wouldn't be getting any presents since she paid for the trip and didn't expect any from me. Well, after all she and Jim did, I can't not get them anything. Soooo, I've figured out something they, probably, won't get. A fruitcake.! But, not just any fruitcake. There's a little bakery about an hour northeast of here. You might have heard of it,,,,the Collin Street Bakery, in Corsicana. They ship fruitcakes worldwide. A Methodist church men's class sells them here, so one will be headed to California. Vickie, hopefully, will be getting a Santa Claus. She collects them in all forms. Plus, sometime this month, I've got to pay a visit to my doc for a flue shot and prescription refill. Are there at least 40 or 50 days in December?
