Busy days...

Last night I had to sleep with this oximeter device on my finger. The ENT Doc wanted to check for the possibility of sleep apnea. It wasn't too bad. For the first 10 minutes it displayed my O2 levels and my pulse rate. Then the display shut off but the device was still working. It's a good thing that the display did shut off or I might not have gotten any sleep. I kept having this urge to see what was going on. I guess that's why it was designed that way.  At any rate, they picked it up today. I hope that's the last of the apnea check ..but probably not.  On Thursday I get the videostroboscopy done. Hopefully that will be all right and I'll be finished with tests for awhile. After I get that done I'll have to see the ENT Doc again for a follow up. Busy..busy..busy.  Then it will be smooth sailing until New Years Eve when I go to see the dentist. That shouldn't be too bad though. I've already had the oral surgery, this is just a follow up.  My son gave my wife and I a gift certificate for Outback Steak House. With my teeth taken care of I'm ready. I only need to clear my schedule of all these medical appointments. That's coming soon I hope. So make my steak medium. I'll be there shortly. Tom

Outback! The land of the overeaters! I always used to leave stuffed. Ahh....that was J\'s favorite restaurant. Enjoy it! It is a nice gift!

I\'m paying close attention to your tests and the results. That\'s an interesting but unsual way to check for sleep apnea. I had a sleep study when mine was diagnosed. Maybe that\'s the diff between pulmos and ENTs??? I kinda like the less invasive approach....sleeping with a device on your finger...sounds good to me! Keep reporting because I am listening! Enjoy your steak...yummm!

I hope that your simple test is the only one you need. My hubby did the sleep study and he said it wasn\'t fun. All the wires hooked up to you. Plus, I don\'t think I would get much sleep knowing there were people watching me. Talk about nightmares!

We love eating at The Outback, especially with curb side pick-up. Sometimes we only order appetizers and snack the day away while watching football :)
