Busy Day Today
I went to a friend of mine's wedding and reception today. As I was driving home, I got a phone call from my brother-in-law that my sister was real sick. I rushed home, (20 Miles) loaded up my sister and headed for the ER. I arrived there and stayed until her daughter showed up and then I rush back another 20 miles, changed clothes and was the Master of Ceremonies for my High School Alumni Banquet.
It was a very, hot tiring day. Tomorrow, I teach my Sunday school class, preach the morning message, the travel west of where I live and preach at another church Sunday Evening for their 5th Sunday. Next week looks very very busy too but, I love what I do. My sister goes back for tests Wed, of next week at the hospital and she will not allow anyone but me, take her. She refuses to ride in an ambulance. She is 76 years old and stubborn as a mule but, I love her.

OMG! I totally know your sister! My best friend was the same way. She was 77. The day she was dying she called me and made me stay with her. She would not allow me to call ANYONE! I kept begging her but she said she wanted to die in her home in her chair with a cigarette in her mouth. Well I loved and respected her and did everything she wanted me to do that day and evening. She woke up at 2am and said, \"its time\" so I lit a cig gave it to her and called 911 and it was over, just the way she wanted. I have no guilt or remorse, though some say I did the wrong thing but NO!! She was a woman of dignity and strength and she said there was no way she was gonna spend her final hours in a cold hard hospital bed and of course not be able to smoke LOL. She was a tough old bird but she taught me a lot about strength and character. I pray for you and your sister and your family, but seriously, death is not a bad thing just how you look at it I guess.
Well I know you are busy, so write me when the madnesss is over and let me know how it all went.
Love,
Allison
