Busy Buzz
This has morphed into an insanely busy week. The long awaited crews to ply the finishing touches to the new house are scheduled to commence work today through next Monday. Woven as they are through the grief of a mother and her orphaned grandchildren, pragmatic details I so prefer managing are cutting like a reciprocating saw through internal organs. "Cut to the chase, would ya fellas? I need to get the kids to their grief therapy appointments while I watch for a quiet moment to grieve the loss of my beloved son."
Shall I add on lawyer shopping to nurture the children's connection to the maternal branch of their family tree? Given that the 3 kid rooms in the housing upgrade are all empty, furniture shopping makes more sense than lawyer shopping, but? ? ? Just hoping. . .
I miss running construction crews. This morning, "Bitch of No Return" is sounding like a gentler endearment than "Gammy." Wasn't I due to retire somewhere's in here? I wants my gold watch, dagnabbit! ! ! Be sure it is wrapped in a Pink Slip.
Sigh again. . .
Wishing anew for that rapid cycling emoticon while I leave the mood indicator at the median. I am fine. How are you?
*They* say sighing relieves pressure on the heart.

I’m here for you Arfie. I am still tracking brain for useful sources about custody cases.
You have always displayed a realistic sense of your fears and your emotions. Trusting intuition I feel is your greatest strength. You have always shown an inspiring trust in letting “god lead the dance”.
Hugs and support
Yes, "suspiros" actually do that, I believe, arfie.
I had to look up, "Suspiros," Muji. What I found is that the Portuguese and the Spaniards are fighting over proprietorship of meringue. That is far sweeter than most of the rivalries between Portugal and Spain, colonies included. Leave it to Uruguay to turn that rivalry into something else entirely? Or did they go literal with the sighs? They had much to sigh about during the settling of the Mission Territories when they were being forced to decide whether to choose Spanish or Portuguese as their "First" language.
Now I'm hungry for one of my maternal grandmother's meringue cookies. That woman was as heartless battle ax of woman as ever was spawned by the Germans, but her meringue cookies could sweeten the meanest of resentments.
Thank you for the offer of your legal experience, V., but I believe I'll stick to letting God lead the dance. Emotional support both needed and appreciated. Letting God lead the dance hasn't made it an easy dance to follow. Easier, perhaps, but still not easy.
Support and prayers for all continue.
Gentle hug and a blessing while you work it out Arf…..xo
Arfie you manage to keep going...that in itself is a miracle!
Yea, MayB, I share the feeling that finding the strength to just keep going is a miracle in itself. Itsy bitsy baby steps have felt like too much for allot of this long, strange trip.
Hubs has been hacking like smokers are rumored to cough and, girl howdy, he gets grumpy when his supercape loses its snap. This morning I snapped at him that I was putting more energy into dancing around his snappy supercape than getting the school train in motion. "Quit insisting that the most disabled person in the room gets to run the show and get your merely human ass to the doctor! ! ! I don't have the energy reserves to nurse you, too." At the end of the gall bladder ordeal, the doctors worried that his heart would be the next organ to go. I am more worried about his blood pressure than his smoke free lungs, even with the horrific hacking and painfully raspy voice.
It was quite a relief that his blood pressure is normal. The doctor doesn't believe he has pneumonia, but felt he was close enough to treat it like pneumonia. Hubby says his big lesson of the day was to always wear underwear to the doctor's office. His free lancing was a bit embarrassing when he got those two shots in the gluteus maximus. Hey, babe, what better way to show off my marvelous taste in men? Fashion faux pas to the side, I hope healing happens here. I don't see myself being able to handle this alone. Not even if I join the Quitter's Academy today.
