Busy, busy, busy!

Lots of driving last week for work, probably over 800 miles on my car.  I was 3 hrs North of here yesterday.  We got maybe an inch of snow.  They got way over a foot in the Pocono Moutains.  Got to drive around and see the snow and the skiers coming down the mountain and the lakes and the evergreens.  It was a Winter wonderland!  End of year pressure.  Also people calling me saying if I don't settle their claim soon, their kids will have no Christmas!  Ugh! Overall, very bad week for losing weight.  No diet, eating everything, no exercise, run down.  Coming down with something and today, cramps and TOM any minute now and bloating.  Blah! David says to counselor this week:  "My mom doesn't spend enough time with me."  You know, what parent does?  And I feel awful enough as it is.  I don't have time for baking and decorating Christmas gingerbread houses, and playing Monopoly.  I have to work, cook, clean.  And then there is Dr appointments, karate, decorating the house for Christmas, cards, laundry, the dog (and everything that goes along with that like feeding, walking and grooming.)  I am lucky though.  Paul does the dishes most of the time.  I do them on weekends.  He also pitches in with laundry during the week.  He takes the dog out first thing in the AM.  And he does all the outside stuff like cut the grass, gardening, etc.  But I felt like it was a slap in the face.  And I have to bake cupcakes for CRE this week and then next week is the Christmas party at karate, and I am automatically volunteered for baked cavatelli.  Oh, he told the counselor all I do it work and talk to Mom Mom on the phone (my mom.)  And the last 3 weeks, I have had to help him with homework more than normal since he can't write.  I guess that is not enough.   Hormones kicking in today as I feel weepy and that "not enough" feeling ain't helping! So to try to pick myself up, I am sitting here watching Hallmark Christmas movies and writing out my cards.  No stress.  Feel good.  And for today, the hell with the diet, although today isn't too bad.  Gonna go make some hot chocolate.  (I crave, crave, crave chocolate this time of the month!)  Kona is sleeping by my feet.  All curled up and fuzzy and watching her belly rise and fall with her breathing.  Very comforting.  Makes me feel blessed. I have to work this week and it is going to be chaos.  But I am off next week, the week of Christmas.  No work.  No CRE.  No bowling league.  No karate except the party.  I can bake cookies and wrap presents while David is at school.  Paul is putting my 2 trees up today.
