Busy as Usual
I had counseling yesterday and I learned a lot. My counselor is awesome. She helps me through so much. She is helping me discern between the rape back in October and now. I set a goal and she gave me homework. We dealt with the fears as well, so I indicated below progress on that. Goal- Remove from situation, get help, set boundaries, strong, whole, and closer to the Lord. Homework- 1. 3 things to say yes to giving yourself and the situation 2. 3 things to say no to giving yourself and the situation 3. 3 things to say yes to recieving yourself and the situation 4. 3 things to say no to recieving yourself and the situation I am quite stuck on the homework. Any ideas for any noted above? Thank you. I thought I was much farther along, but when I did counseling yesterday I cried two times. I have a long ways to go. I underestimated myself, and thought I was making progress. What progress have I made in the past 5 months? Any ideas? I am so confused. All I know is that my work is praying for me, and are wonderful. I think I slept for 15 hours on Thursday. I was so exhausted from work. I greatly enjoy what I do because I know it is making a difference in the lives of others. I would love to work there 7 days a week, but that is unrealistic, and I am so glad to be in ministry. I did great that night and had some funny moments towards the end when I was by myself. I hope to do that again when that time arises in the future. I will work today through Thursday, so please pray for strength. I also signed up for a class on April 2nd called, "Poverty and Racism," for work to get extra overtime in. I love what I am doing, and overtime is wonderful, especially being a poor college student (not like I was, though). Have a great weekend.
