Buried my wife's birth mother's ashes today

My wife's birth mother passed away in April and the family decided to bury her ashes today, just before Mother's Day.  I dug the hole, prepared her cremation unit, held the grave side services and her grandson placed the unit in the hole.  I then covered the grave.  This was very difficult for me but, I got through it.  I had known her ever since my wife and I were dating.  That was 39 years ago.
I know many don't understand why I do what I do but, I just try to do for others.  I believe the Lord is pleased with me for doing what I can.
