bucket list is shrinking

seriously, i don't have a bucket list per say. but one thing that i have wanted to do for years was to build a house. i can't explain why, just a personal desire. perhaps it is an ego thing. perhaps it is a guy thing. trying to prove myself or something. but it is a desire for years to build a home for us.
and now, due to illness, it will never happen. however, i can build a room addition. and that is what i am doing. i drew the plans a few weeks ago. the county approved them. had to take an electrician test to do my own wiring.
and today, we started the forms. got half of them built. it felt great! i felt alive. finally after so many, many years, i feel like i am making my dream come true......
