Bruises

I live with a bruise.  Each month when I have an IV I end up with a bruise on my hand or arm, wherever they stuck me that month.  The nurses try so hard to avoid it, but my platelets are a bit low, and my clotting is a bit slow, and people greet me with... Ouch!  What happened to your (insert limb here)?  Maybe if I sat still, and didn't move around and try to stretch the iv line so I can reach the thermostat, or try to knit when it's in my hand, or practice tai chi in the infusion chair it wouldn't happen.  But I'm stubborn and never learn my lesson, so I live with a bruise.  When the bruise fades, I know that it's time to go in for my next infusion.  Kind of like me own personal infusions meter!
It's still deep purple and green, so I must have a couple of weeks to go.
