British Army receives JTAC and FST Training Simulator from Elbit Systems UK
Elbit Systems UK and QuantaDyn Corporation have completed the delivery of a mobile Close Air Support (CAS) and joint fires simulator to the British Army. The Joint Fires Mobile Trainer (JFMT) is now in active service with the Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) and Fire Support Teams (FST) of the 1stArtillery Brigade.
The JFMT met with the US and NATO requirements to deliver simulated CAS training and successfully underwent accreditation by the UK Joint Air Land Organisation (JALO) in August 2018.
The Joint Fires Mobile Trainer (JFMT), Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) and Fire Support Teams (FST) of the 1st Artillery are now in active service. It is accredited to simulate all controls currently allowable (types 1, 2, and 3, Full Motion Video, Rotary Wing, Night/IR, Remote Observer and Laser Target Designation).
The JFMT has been delivered as a fully serviced training package, all contained within a versatile 20ft trailer able to be deployed and recovered by vehicles within short time frames. It is also available for purchase as a standalone system.
