Byron Bay is a great drive from Brisbane's CBD. It's a fantastic idea to leave as early in the morning as possible so you can spend the full day there. Have a look at the shore, local arts and crafts and their many restaurants, bars and cafes.

Wow if that's not something to be proud of I don't know what is! Brisbane has some of the worst public transport in Australia and yet our public transport fares have gone up 71% since 2009.

St Kilda. It's got bars, it's got nightclubs, it's got cocktail lounges and it's got a feeling unlike no other. Geelong has slightly less, but if you are on a mission, it has got a couple of bars and nightclubs that would not be out of place in Melbourne CBD.
